LOS ANGELES, June 13 (Bernama-PA Media/dpa) -- David and Victoria Beckham brought some celebrity glamour to the United States' opening World Cup match against Paraguay as they watched alongside Tom Cruise, reported PA Media/dpa.
The US are the last of the three co-hosts to play, after Mexico opened the tournament on Thursday and Canada drew against Bosnia and Herzegovina earlier on Friday.
Appropriately for a game in Los Angeles, there was some Hollywood glamour in the stands.
The Beckhams were spotted watching the match alongside the Mission Impossible star hours after the former England midfielder received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Halle Berry, a Bond girl in the 2002 film "Die Another Day," was pictured on the big screen.
Eighties Brat Pack star Rob Lowe, who featured in films such as "St Elmo's Fire" and "The Outsiders" as well as the hit television show "The West Wing," was also in attendance, as was socialite Paris Hilton, who appeared to be taking a selfie when the camera cut to her.
The USA are in Group D at this summer's finals, alongside Friday night's opponents Paraguay, plus Australia and Turkey.
