KUALA LUMPUR, June 29 (Bernama) -- Malaysia and Indonesia are committed to strengthening cooperation in the fields of legislation, governance and various strategic areas of mutual interest, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
In a Facebook post, Anwar said he discussed the matter with Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Legal, Human Rights, Immigration and Correction, Prof Dr Yusril Ihza Mahendra, who paid him a courtesy call at the Prime Minister’s Office in Putrajaya today.
During the meeting, Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, said both leaders also exchanged views on efforts to strengthen cooperation in those fields.
"May the close fraternal relations and cooperation between the two countries continue to be strengthened for the progress, peace, and well-being of the people of Malaysia and Indonesia,” he said.
