CAMBODIA

Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam are discussing ways to enhance security cooperation, with a focus on border areas. They plan to transform border areas into zones of peace, friendship, cooperation, and development.

 

2.TEMPLE TOURISM AFTER DARK -- THE PHNOM PENH POST 

The government has established an inter-ministerial task force to promote nighttime temple visits and film tourism. It is responsible for developing action plans to support the sector.

 

INDONESIA 

 

1.PERTAMAX TURBO, DEXLITE PRICES TO DROP STARTING JULY 1: PERTAMINA -- ANTARA

State-owned energy company PT Pertamina will cut prices for several non-subsidized fuels, including Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite and Pertamina Dex, effective July 1, while keeping subsidized fuel prices unchanged.

 

2.Government plans 39 new airports to boost air connectivity -- ANTARA

The Transportation Ministry is preparing 39 locations for the construction of new airports across Indonesia, in a strategic move to strengthen national connectivity and spur equitable regional economic growth.

 

MYANMAR

 

1.Avocados Undergo Pest Checks -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR

Avocado farmers need to test for six quarantine pests in October before exporting their fruit to China, which imposes a strict phytosanitary protocol. The Myanmar government is conducting pest inspections in avocado farms. 

 

2.URGENT STEPS TO SOLVE TEACHERS' SHORTAGE -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR 

The government will fast-track teacher hiring to address the shortage, with priority given to primary schools. More than 5.5 million students have enrolled in basic education schools across Myanmar for the current academic year.

 

PHILIPPINES

 

1.BELGIUM TO REINFORCE TIES WITH PH; OPEN FOR MARITIME, ENERGY TIE-UP -- PHILIPPINE NEWS AGENCY (PNA)

Belgium is looking to reinforce its relations with the Philippines and explore potential cooperation on new areas, specifically maritime, security, energy, and people-to-people, its foreign minister said Tuesday.

 

2.PH EXTENDS VISA-FREE ENTRY TO TAIWAN PASSPORT HOLDERS -- PHILIPPINE NEWS AGENCY (PNA)

 The Philippines is extending its visa-free entry for Taiwan passport holders planning to travel and stay in the country for 14 days or less, starting July 1 until June 30, 2027, said the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) on Tuesday evening.

1.CABINET EXTENDS NATIONALITY AND LEGAL STATUS SCHEME FOR LONG-TERM MIGRANTS -- THE NATION

Thailand’s Cabinet has approved a one-year extension to a nationality and legal status scheme for long-term migrants and eligible Thai-born children, pushing the deadline to June 30, 2027, after slow registration progress.

 

2. GOVT RESPONDS TO SOUTHERN BLASTS -- BANGKOK POST

The government is stepping up efforts to address the renewed violence in the southernmost provinces following a series of bomb attacks, with Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul scheduled to hold talks with Malaysian leaders on July 9-10 to seek more concrete solutions to the long-running insurgency.

Import-export turnover through border gates in the northern province of Lao Cai connecting China rose by over 60 per cent in the first half of 2026. It is  driven by a robust increase in agricultural exports, mainly durian.
