KUALA NERUS, June 14 (Bernama) -- Terengganu Football Club Sdn Bhd (TFCSB) is taking the initiative to donate five per cent of the physical ticket sales of the Terengganu FC (TFC) FA Cup match against Perak FC tonight to the Darul Iman Fund.
TFCSB chief executive officer Mohd Sabri Abas said the effort was part of the club's corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme to help the less fortunate.
He said the Darul Iman Fund is a fund created by the Terengganu government to help people who are beset by calamity or hardship.
"TFC is very grateful for the strong support shown by the people of Terengganu regardless of the situation, whether in times of joy or sorrow.
"Therefore we want to return that support by giving back to the community. So far, 5,000 physical tickets have been sold and five per cent of the collection will be donated to the Darul Iman Fund," he said when contacted today.
Mohd Sabri said that although the donation was not much, it was hoped that it would be able to ease the burden of the needy.
Therefore, he hopes that Terengganu football fans will be able to come to the stadium in greater numbers in the future to support and help more communities in need.
