KUCHING, Aug 17 (Bernama) -- Sarawak lawn bowlers made it a perfect three wins out of three to top Group T of the mixed pairs event with six points at the Arena Lawn Bowl here today.
The Sarawak team of Awang Mohammad Sharszan F Awang Nasaruddin-Nur Syurhaidah Asaral had no problems disposing of Perak 18-10, Pahang 19-7 and Sabah 20-5.
Sabah occupied second spot with four points from a loss (to Sarawak) and two wins - 17-15 over Kelantan and 18-5 over Penang.
Selangor’s Alif Hakimi Ariffuddin-Nurul Ain Ibrahim showed they too could do what the hosts did in Group T by winning all three matches to top Group S.
The Selangor pair defeated Terengganu 15-10, Perlis 15-6 and Kedah 29-5.
Terengganu, meanwhile, bounced back from the loss to Selangor by defeating the Federal Territories 16-10 and drawing 13-13 with Kedah to take second spot in Group S with three points.
