KDA FC Beat Kelantan 1-0 At Home

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 10 (Bernama) -- Kedah Darul Aman (KDA) FC beat Kelantan Darul Na’im FC 1-0 in tonight’s Super League match at Darul Aman Stadium here.

The win propels KDA FC to sixth in the league from ninth previously, with a total of 20 points while Kelantan is last with seven points.

KDA FC scored the solitary goal of the match in the 16th minute when Mohd Fayadh Zulkifli Amin sent a blistering shot that Kelantan FC goalkeeper Wan Mohamad Syazmin Wan Mohamad Ruzaimi could not save.

Kelantan tried to equalise the rest of the first half, but all efforts were unsuccessful, while in the second half, KDA FC’s substitutions managed to disrupt Kelantan’s defence to allow the score to remain 1-0 in favour of the home team when the final whistle blew.

Meanwhile, Negeri Sembilan finally won their first match at home after beating Sri Pahang 2-1 at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi, Negeri Sembilan.

The home team had to endure a shock of an own goal when Aliyu Audu Abu Bakar headed the ball into their own goal while trying to stop a cross by Sri Pahang’s Kpah Sherman in the eighth minute.

Negeri Sembilan managed to rally and equalised in the last minute of the first half through Hein Htet Aung, and secured victory with a brilliant shot by Selvan Anbualagan in the 59th minute.
