“We have advertised for the NSI CEO position and received many applications. I have also held a town hall session with NSI top management to hear their views.

“We will follow the interview process which will be conducted by KBS secretary-general (Datuk Dr K. Nagulendran). We want to ensure that there is continuity of services (NSI supports athletes with sports medicine and treatment) provided so that all our athletes’ preparations for various games will not be disrupted,” she said.

She said this after a handover of cars by Chery Malaysia to the medal winners of the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games who received a generous discount offer from the car manufacturer here today.

Earlier, Ahmad Faedzal who began his service as CEO of NSI on Feb 25, 2019, said he would not extend his tenure which was subject to the discretion of the Public Service Department (JPA).
