KUALA LUMPUR, June 12 (Bernama) -- About 200 experts will congregate in Uzbekistan from Thursday for the IV Samarkand Forum on Human Rights till June 14 to address the intersection of climate change and human rights issues.

Themed "Environmental Challenges: The Future of Human Rights and Sustainable Solutions in a Changing World", the IV Samarkand Forum is organised by Uzbekistan’s National Human Rights Centre and Justice Ministry.

"The main goal of this year's Samarkand forum is to discuss issues related to the impact of climate change on human rights on a broad scale and on the basis of information analysis,” said the National Human Rights Centre in a statement.

The prominent international forum will focus on developing concrete recommendations and solutions to mitigate the negative impacts of climate change on human rights, the statement added.
