NEW YORK, July 9 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The US dollar increased in late trading on Monday, reported Xinhua.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, went up 0.12 per cent to 105.000 at 3.00 pm (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro fell to US$1.0826 from US$1.0837 in the previous session, and the British pound dropped to US$1.2812 from US$1.2817 previously.
The US dollar bought 160.79 Japanese yen, higher than 160.72 yen in the previous session.
Against the Swiss franc, the greenback increased to 0.8971 francs from 0.8959 francs previously.
It climbed to 1.3639 Canadian dollars from 1.3628 dollars and rose to 10.5695 Swedish kronor from 10.4776 kronor.
