KUALA LUMPUR, July 24 (Bernama) -- Global Turbine Asia (GTA) has signed a three-year extension contract of the certified maintenance centre (CMC) agreement with Safran Helicopter Engines, furthering a successful 14-year partnership with the renowned original equipment manufacturer in France.
GTA is an independent engine and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) service provider of military and civil engines in Asia Pacific.
"The extension of the agreement underlined GTA’s commitment to maintaining its position as the leading MRO centre in Malaysia for helicopter turbine engines,” the company said in a statement today.
The contract extension was signed at the 2024 Farnborough Airshow in the United Kingdom.
Over the past 14 years, GTA has developed robust technical capabilities, enabling in-country maintenance and repair services of up to Level 3 for various engine families.
Since the first signing of this CMC agreement between Safran Helicopter Engines and GTA, it has enabled GTA to market and position Safran Helicopter Engines as the leading helicopter engine turbine manufacturer in Malaysia.
