Bitcoin Will Not Replace Governmental Currencies, Will Be Storage Of Value -- Expert

NASHVILLE, July 30 (Bernama-Sputnik) -- Bitcoin will not replace government-issued currencies, however, it can be an efficient storage of value, US entrepreneur and U-topia CEO Emmanuel Quezada told Sputnik in an interview.

"I don't think that it's a fair statement to say that Bitcoin is going to replace governmental currencies. What I believe is that Bitcoin is going to bring mass adoption and is going to be the storage of value," Quezada said on the sidelines of the annual Bitcoin Conference held in Nashville from July 25-27.

Quezada said Bitcoin will be another trading opportunity for everyone to get on board, another commodity.

"When you talk about Bitcoin, if you focus on the digital value, we can just revolutionise that," Quezada said, emphasising the unique aspects Bitcoin has in comparison to fiat currencies.

The Bitcoin Conference in Nashville had notable speakers, including presidential hopefuls Robert F. Kennedy Jr, former Donald Trump and Vivek Ramaswamy, all of whom expressed their utmost support for Bitcoin.

Kennedy vowed to make all US-held Bitcoin a strategic asset if elected in November while Trump promised to make the United States the "crypto capital of the planet".
