French Swimmer Leon Marchand Win 4th Gold At 2024 Olympics

ANKARA, Aug 3 (Bernama-Anadolu) -- French swimmer Leon Marchand won his fourth gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Friday, Anadolu Agency (AA) reported.

Marchand won the men's 200-metre individual medley in the Olympic record time of 1 minute and 54.06 seconds.

The former record was set by Michael Phelps of the United States (US) at the 2008 Beijing Games in 1:54.23.

Scott Duncan from Britain finished second in 1:55.31. Chinese swimmer Shun Wang won bronze in a time of 1:56.00.

Marchand, 22, also won gold in the 200m butterfly, 200m breaststroke and the 400m individual medley.
