Myanmar exported over 76,000 tonnes of rice to the Philippines until October this year. The El Nino and La Nina weather conditions, floods, and typhoons impacted paddy output in the Philippines, causing the nation to import rice from neighbouring countries.

 

2.YANGON PORT HANDLES 464 CONTAINER VESSELS -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR 

Myanmar Port Authority announced that 464 container vessels arrived at the Yangon Port in the past nine months of this year. After the port’s draft was extended up to 10 metres, more large ocean liners are now able to enter.
