SEOUL, Jan 15 (BernamaYonhap) -- Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi Corp officially launched its flagship mobile phone products in South Korea on Wednesday, signaling the beginning of its business operations here.
Yonhap news agency reported the Chinese company held its first-ever press conference in Seoul and showcased two of its latest smartphone models, Xiaomi 14T and Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G.
Xiaomi plans to introduce its other products from smartphones and TVs to wearable devices and robotic vacuum cleaners, successively until February, according to its officials.
Jony Wu, head of Xiaomi's South Korean branch, said Xiaomi's vision of creating an "innovation for everyone" corresponds with the Korean consumers' propensity to value high quality and reasonable price at the same time.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi said it has no plan to introduce its electric vehicle (EV) in the South Korean market in the near future, noting it will fully focus on the Chinese EV market for the next three years.
