NEW DELHI, Jan 21 (Bernama) -- Popular Indian film star Saif Ali Khan on Tuesday left the Mumbai hospital where he was treated after a knife attack five days ago.
Wearing a white shirt and blue jeans, he posed for the paparazzi before entering his residence, local media reported.
The 54-year-old suffered six stab wounds, including one near his spinal area, in the January 16 attack at his home in the upscale Bandra area and required surgery to remove a 2.5-inch knife fragment.
The shocking attack raised questions about Mumbai's law and order situation as it came after a number of recent high-profile crime incidents.
Mumbai police say they have arrested the alleged attacker from the suburb of Thane.
They claim the attacker is a Bangladeshi national who entered India illegally and changed his name.
