TEGUCIGALPA (Honduras), Feb 26 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- A helicopter carrying Honduran President Xiomara Castro made an emergency landing Tuesday in a mountainous area in the northwestern part of the country, Xinhua reported.
The aircraft was en route from San Pedro Sula to the capital, Tegucigalpa, when it was forced to land in the mountainous area of Santa Cruz de Yojoa, Cortes.
No injuries were reported.
According to Honduran Foreign Minister Eduardo Enrique Reina Garcia, poor visibility from bad weather was the likely cause.
