NEW DELHI, April 12 (Bernama) -- Bangladesh and Turkiye discussed cooperation in the aerospace sector during Bangladesh interim government foreign adviser Mohammad Touhid Hossain's visit to Turkish city, Antalya.
The foreign affairs chief met with Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) chief executive Mehmet Demiroğlu on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
"During the meeting, both sides agreed to enhance cooperation in various fields of aerospace technologies, including UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle), technology transfer, human resource development and investment in Bangladesh," the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on social media Saturday.
Touhid said Bangladesh needs a reliable partner in aerospace technology and it would be a win-win situation for both Bangladesh and Turkiye if they cooperate with each other.
Both sides agreed to explore investment options in Bangladesh and a Turkish high-level delegation will visit the country to discuss future cooperation.
TAI's product range includes helicopters, aircraft and UAVs.
Bangladesh is one of the operators of Bayraktar TB2 armed drones manufactured by Turkish company Baykar.
