MINA (Saudi Arabia), June 7 (Bernama-SPA) -- Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman has commended the Kingdom’s security and government personnel for their dedicated efforts in ensuring a smooth and secure Hajj, highlighting the mobilisation of over 213,000 staff across sectors.
Speaking on behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Mohammmed bin Salman said Saudi Arabia would continue to prioritise the comfort and safety of pilgrims through integrated services and institutional commitment.
“We commend the continuous efforts made by you, those working across various government sectors, and the male and female volunteers in implementing the state’s policies to enable pilgrims to complete their rituals in security and tranquillity,” he said during a reception of Eid Al-Adha well-wishers at the Royal Court in Mina Palace.
He added that the ongoing success of Hajj management reflects the state’s unwavering dedication to serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors.
“We ask Allah Almighty to continue blessing us with security and safety, and to grant us success in continuing to perform this great duty to the fullest extent possible,” he said.
The event was attended by Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, senior Saudi princes, the Grand Mufti, scholars, ministers, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) officials, and commanders of security and military sectors involved in this year’s Hajj.
Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Hajj Security Committee, Lieutenant General Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Bassami, also paid tribute to the government’s support and investment in Hajj operations.
He said 213,323 personnel from the security and military sectors were deployed to execute the Kingdom’s Hajj security plans, guided by directives from the King and Crown Prince.
Al-Bassami noted that all plans were underpinned by precise protocols and supported by advanced technologies, including real-time surveillance and data-driven risk assessments to ensure pilgrim safety.
He also acknowledged the roles of the Interior Minister, governors of Makkah and Madinah, and relevant committees in enhancing coordination and service quality.
