WASHINGTON, Aug 5 (Bernama-Anadolu) -- Brazil’s Supreme Court has ordered the house arrest of former president Jair Bolsonaro, Anadolu Ajansi (AA) quoted local media on Monday.
Bolsonaro is currently on trial for allegedly orchestrating a plot to remain in power following his defeat in the 2022 presidential election by current president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
Last month, the court ordered him to wear an electronic ankle monitor, which he described as “a supreme humiliation.”
