Thai PM Anutin to Outline Government Policy Next Week

23/09/2025 07:59 PM

BANGKOK, Sept 23 (Bernama) -- New Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul is scheduled to deliver his government’s policy statement to Parliament next week, marking the official start of his administration.

Speaking at the Bhumjaithai Party headquarters, Anutin said he is coordinating with the House Speaker on the dates for the policy statement, which are expected to be either Sept 29 or 30.

“The sooner, the better, because the first official day of work starts from the day the policy statement is completed, so that the government can fully get down to work,” he told reporters here on Monday.

He added that the oath-taking ceremony for the new Cabinet ministers is expected to take place tomorrow.

Last Friday, King Maha Vajiralongkorn endorsed the new Cabinet under Anutin’s leadership.

According to the Royal Gazette, the king appointed the 36-member Cabinet as proposed by Anutin, including six deputy prime ministers and other ministers, following his endorsement as the country’s new prime minister earlier this month.
