MAKKAH, March 14 (Bernama-SPA) -- Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Tourism is continuing intensive inspection campaigns targeting hospitality facilities and tourism service providers in Makkah and Madinah during the last ten days of Ramadan.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that the efforts are part of its ongoing campaign to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and enhance the quality of services provided to pilgrims.

Field teams are conducting inspection and awareness tours covering hospitality facilities, private accommodation establishments, travel and tourism agencies, and other tourism activities to verify compliance with licensing requirements and quality and safety standards.

The ministry stressed that operating a hospitality activity without a valid licence constitutes a regulatory violation punishable by fines of up to SAR 1 million, closure of the establishment, or both.

It also affirmed its readiness to receive visitors’ enquiries and feedback regarding tourism services through the unified tourism call centre 930, which operates around the clock throughout the week.
