KUALA LUMPUR, April 8 (Bernama) -- Türkiye is set to make a strong showing at the Defence Services Asia (DSA) and National Security (NatSec) Asia 2026 Exhibition, with participation from 40 companies, said Turkish Ambassador to Malaysia Emir Salim Yuksel.
He noted that the large turnout by Turkish companies underscores DSA's status as a premier defence industry exhibition in the region.
Türkiye also views its participation in the biennial event as highly valuable for strengthening collaboration and cooperation with Malaysia, he added.
“We (Türkiye) are attaching importance to this exhibition because DSA and Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) are very important exhibitions in the region in terms of the defence industry.
“It (DSA) is going to be a good showcase of the Turkish defence industry for the greater Southeast Asia region,” he told Bernama on the sidelines of the Kuala Lumpur-Ankara Dialogue 2026, held here this week.
Yuksel said Türkiye’s Deputy Defence Minister will lead the country’s delegation to DSA 2026.
The DSA and NatSec Asia 2026 Exhibition is scheduled to take place at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) from April 20 to 23.
Bernama earlier reported that 30 countries have confirmed their participation at the 19th edition of DSA, which will showcase the world’s most advanced technologies, systems, hardware, and electronic warfare solutions.
