CAMBODIA

1. DISABLED COMMUNITY NOT MARGINALISED -- AGENCE KAMPUCHEA PRESSE 

On the occasion of the 13th Autism and Down Syndrome Awareness Day, the government vowed to  raise public awareness, promote rights and well-being, and foster equality and inclusion of persons with disabilities.

Cambodia and France plan to upgrade their ties to a strategic partnership in the near future. They will further expand cooperation in key sectors — trade, energy, defence and security, healthcare, education, and tourism.

1. INDONESIA SEES Q1 GROWTH AT 5.5 PERCENT DESPITE GLOBAL RISKS -- ANTARA

Coordinating Economic Affairs Minister Airlangga Hartarto said Indonesia expects first-quarter 2026 growth of at least 5.5 percent, citing resilient domestic demand despite risks from the Middle East conflict and global uncertainty.

 

2. INDONESIA STRONGLY CONDEMNS ISRAELI ATTACKS IN LEBANON -- ANTARA

Indonesia on Thursday strongly condemned Israeli strikes on multiple locations in Lebanon, including Beirut, saying the attacks caused civilian casualties and infrastructure damage and risked escalating regional tensions.

 

MYANMAR

1. EXTENDING LEGUMES EXPORTS TO INDIA -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR

Myanmar and India signed an agreement to strengthen trade in black gram and pigeon peas. Myanmar will be allowed to export 250,000 tonnes of black gram and 100,000 tonnes of pigeon peas to India annually under the agreement. 

 

2. RISING NATURAL GAS PRODUCTION A BOON -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR  

The recent increase in natural gas production at the Maubin (South) oil and gas field is expected to stabilise energy needs amid fuel shortages.

2. DFA: NO FILIPINO HURT IN LEBANON AS ISRAELI BARRAGE DEATHS REACH 300 -- PHILIPPINE NEWS AGENCY

No Filipino was reported hurt in Lebanon as the death toll from Israel's wave of airstrikes in its capital Beirut reached approximately 300, said the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Thursday night.

1. GOVERNMENT TO COVER 13 PCT OF FARE REVENUES FOR SCHOOL BUS, CARE TRANSPORT OPERATORS AMID FUEL COST PRESSURES -- CNA

The government will provide three months of support to transport operators serving school students, people with disabilities, some seniors and patients, to help the sector cope with rising fuel costs.

The Energy Ministry says Thailand still has 109 days of oil reserves and that diesel production remains above domestic demand, despite renewed tensions in the Middle East.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has intensified law enforcement actions to reinforce market credibility, as a sharp rise in investment scams, largely driven by social media, emerges as a growing systemic risk.
