TEHRAN, April 27 (Bernama-MNA) -- Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has landed back in Pakistan for a meeting with Pakistani officials in continuation of his diplomatic consultations.
Araghchi returned to Pakistan after his visit to Oman and meeting with Omani officials, Mehr News Agency reported.
Araghchi was in Pakistani capital of Islamabad yesterday to convey Iran's veiws on the regional developments with the Pakistani mediators.
Issues such as imposing a new legal regime on the Strait of Hormuz, receiving compensation from the aggressors, guarantees on no further military aggression by the warmongers, lifting the naval blockade, etc. are among the issues raised by Mr. Araghchi during his regional consultations.
In a separate report, Omani Foreign Minister Badr Hamad AlBusaidi said he had held a good discussion with Araghchi, according to MNA.
"Good discussion on the Strait of Hormuz with Iran’s Foreign Minister Dr. Araghchi," he wrote in a post on his X account after receiving Araghchi and his accompanying delegation earlier on Sunday.
"As litoral states, we recognise our shared responsibility to the international community and the urgent humanitarian need to free the seafarers held for far too long.
“Much diplomacy is required and practical solutions to ensure lasting freedom of navigation," he added.
