KANGAR, Feb 4 (Bernama) -- The Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) is equipping entrepreneurs in Perlis with digital marketing skills through the ‘From Zero to Viral’ course, aimed at boosting sales on the Agrobazaar Online portal.
Perlis FAMA director Mohd Anzara Azizan said the course, held in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), trained 40 new and existing entrepreneurs in developing promotional materials and marketing strategies to improve product visibility and broaden their reach.
“Our collaboration with the public university in Perlis has also drawn nearly 651 graduates and students to join the New Breed Marketing Entrepreneur (NBME) programme as marketing agents,” he said in a statement today.
Mohd Anzara noted that Perlis entrepreneurs recorded nearly RM200,000 in sales through Agrobazaar Online last year, involving 40 participants.
He said that, in addition to training and mentorship, Perlis FAMA provided various forms of assistance to help entrepreneurs expand their businesses, particularly in the agro-food sector.
Mohd Anzara also said that Perlis FAMA was monitoring the progress of J&W Empire, a recipient of the Packaging Image Improvement assistance in 2024, which produced Kuala Perlis laksa paste.
