Among the training providers involved are Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google, and Microsoft,” he said during the oral question-and-answer session at the Dewan Rakyat, today.

He was responding to Roslan Hashim (PN-Kulim Bandar Baharu), who inquired about the government's focus on developing the digital talent landscape, through collaboration with technology companies and start-ups, to provide students with exposure to robotics, cloud computing, and AI.

SJKC, SJKT CAN APPLY FOR NEM GOMEN QUOTAS STARTING TODAY - SEDA

KUALA LUMPUR -- The Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia has opened applications for national-type Chinese schools (SJKC) and national-type Tamil schools (SJKT) to obtain quotas, under the Net Energy Metering (NEM) GoMEn (ministries and government entities), effective today.

Petaling Jaya Member of Parliament (MP) Lee Chean Chung and Klang MP V. Ganabatirau, who also serve as SEDA authority members, announced that previously, government-aided schools could only apply for quotas under the NOVA (Net Offset Virtual Aggregation) programme.

Lee explained that this restriction forced public schools to compete with corporate and private sectors for limited quotas, while the NEM GoMEn category often had excess quotas available.

“Applicants only need to obtain a confirmation letter from the Ministry of Education (MOE) verifying that the building is used for educational purposes. Once approved, the school will be eligible to apply for quotas under the NEM GoMEn programme,” he said at a press conference at the Parliament building, today.
