Decomposing Body of Man Found In Lake In Ipoh

IPOH, Oct 22 (Bernama) -- The decomposing body of a man was found in a lake in Tasek Tiara Lake View Plaza, near Lahat here yesterday.

Ipoh district police chief ACP Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said they received information about the discovery of the body at about 5.40 pm when a passerby saw a floating body by the bank of the lake.

"Checks around the area did not reveal any signs of blood, struggle or suspicious objects around the incident location.

"Further checks did not reveal any abandoned or suspicious vehicles in the area as well,” he said, adding that they estimated that the victim had been dead more than a day and no signs of struggle or external wounds were found.

No identification documents were found on the body, he said, adding that the case is being classified as sudden death while awaiting results from the autopsy at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital here.
