Penang Hill Heritage Trail Temporarily Closed After Landslide

GEORGE TOWN, Oct 24 (Bernama) -- The heritage trail at Penang Hill has been temporarily closed following a landslide along parts of the trail after heavy rain.

Penang Hill Corporation (PBBPP) said the affected section has been closed for the safety of the public.

“The PBBPP maintenance team is carrying out cleanup works at the site to ensure the area is safe for visitors,” it posted on Facebook today.

No injuries have been reported, and hikers and visitors are advised to refrain from using the trail until further notice.

The PBBPP will continue to monitor the situation closely and take all necessary safety measures.
