KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 26 (Bernama) -- The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) is taking definitive steps to expedite the payment of uniform tailoring allowance for its personnel.
Bukit Aman Logistics and Technology Department director Gilberd Philip Layang said PDRM acknowledges the concerns raised by its members regarding this matter, which recently gained attention on social media.
“We are coordinating with the Ministry of Home Affairs and other relevant central agencies to ensure all claims are settled as soon as possible, in accordance with current financial and procurement regulations,” he said in a statement today.
Gilberd also urged all parties to remain calm and allow the ongoing administrative process to proceed.
He emphasised that the issue does not affect the force's operational readiness or its primary responsibility of maintaining national security, particularly with several major international events scheduled for 2025.
“PDRM remains committed to safeguarding the welfare of every personnel, in line with public service well-being principles and the MADANI spirit,” he said.
