Woman Found Dead In Car At Shopping Centre

KUCHING, Oct 30 (Bernama) -- A local woman in her 20s was found dead in a parked car at a shopping centre here yesterday.

 Kuching police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the police received a report from the public at about 1.55 pm regarding an unconscious woman in a vehicle.

“A police team was immediately dispatched to the scene, where they found the woman lying motionless in the driver’s seat. Firefighters from the Tabuan Jaya Fire Station were called in to assist in opening the vehicle, which was locked from the inside,” he said in a statement today.

Alexson said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical assistant.

The body was later sent to the Sarawak General Hospital Forensic Department for a post-mortem.

“Preliminary investigations found no criminal elements, and the case has been classified as a Sudden Death Report (SDR),” he added.
