KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 25 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) candidates, including those in flood-affected areas, to sit for the examination until Dec 23 calmly and with full confidence in their abilities.
In a post on X today, the Prime Minister said that the candidates’ effort, prayers and perseverance can open the door to greater success in the future.
“The government, through the Ministry of Education and the relevant agencies, is fully prepared to ensure that every candidate can sit for the examination in a safe, orderly and secure environment,” he said.
He also shared Bernama’s X video on the first-day checks of the SPM examination at SMK Putrajaya Presint 11(1), involving 228 candidates.
The written SPM 2025 examination began today with Bahasa Melayu Paper 1 at 8.15 am, followed by Visual Arts Education – Art Theory Paper 1 at 11.45 am and Bahasa Melayu Paper 2 at 2.30 pm.
As of this morning, 20,146 flood victims have been placed at 119 temporary relief centres in eight states, with Pahang becoming the latest to be hit.
The other affected states are Kelantan, Terengganu, Perlis, Kedah, Selangor, Perak and Penang.
The Northeast Monsoon began on Nov 13 and is expected to continue until March 2026.
