KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 1 (Bernama) -- The annual report of the Special Committee on Corruption (JKmR) will be presented to the Cabinet and discussed in detail with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said.

He said the report covers JKmR’s review and assessment of MACC’s annual reports for the years 2021 to 2024, enabling the committee to identify trends and current developments related to anti-corruption efforts as well as challenges faced by MACC.

“Every recommendation and finding in this report will be assessed seriously to further strengthen institutional reforms, curb leakages and reinforce public confidence.

“The Government’s commitment to transparency, integrity and good governance remains steadfast. Insya-Allah, we will ensure that the pursuit of a corruption-free nation with strong integrity continues to be our highest priority,” he said in a Facebook post today.

Earlier, Anwar received a courtesy call from the committee, led by its chairman Datuk Mohd Shahar Abdullah, and was briefed on its annual report for the first time.
