Selangor FC, Sabah FC Claim Away Wins In Super League

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 23 (Bernama) -- PDRM FC failed to capitalise on home advantage after going down 1-3 to Selangor FC in Super League action today.

In the match held at the Selayang Municipal Council Stadium, Selangor opened the scoring in the 21st minute through Chrigor Moraes, who headed home a cross from Faisal Halim to give the visitors a 1-0 lead at half-time.

After the restart, Chrigor struck again when he headed in a cross from Alvin Fortes in the 49th minute.

PDRM managed to reduce the deficit through a powerful long-range strike by Fakhrul Azim in the 53rd minute.

Red Giants midfielder Noor Al Rawabdeh restored Selangor’s two-goal advantage when he finished off a pass from Ahmad Zikri Khalili in the 67th minute to seal the victory.

Meanwhile, at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium, Terengganu FC (TFC) also fell 1-3 to visitors Sabah FC.

The hosts struck first through Muhammad Akhyar Rashid, who latched onto a fine pass from substitute Muhammad Safwan Mazlan in the 34th minute.

As the first half drew to a close, The Rhinos, led by Rawilson Batuil, sprung a surprise by equalising in injury time through Fergus Tierney, who finished off a cross from Miguel Cifuentes.

In the second half, TFC dominated possession and created three dangerous chances, but goalkeeper Daniel Lim kept the visitors’ safe.

In the 73rd minute, Adjin Mujagic scored Sabah FC’s second goal before striking again in the 89th minute from the penalty spot to confirm the victory.

Earlier at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Brunei, DPMM FC defeated Penang FC 2-0.

DPMM’s goals came from Jordan Murray in the 17th minute and Azwan Ali Rahman in the 23rd minute.
