KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 19 (Bernama) -- Fans’ disappointment following the sudden stoppage of Wali band’s performance during the second segment of the recent RadjaWali concert is set to be eased with the organisation of a special concert on May 1.
As an effort to appreciate affected concertgoers, the organiser is also offering a 20 per cent discount to those who purchased RadjaWali concert tickets on Jan 10, with the upcoming show to be held at a larger venue compared to the previous location at Idea Live Arena, Petaling Jaya.
Elaborating further, organiser representative Mubarak Akhtar from Impian Al Fateh Sdn Bhd said his party will also take legal action against the venue management for negligence and breach of agreement.
“Once again, we apologise to the audience for the inconvenience caused and promise to seek justice in order to restore the dignity and rights of the fans,” he said at a press conference to clarify the incident.

He said the decision to stop the concert abruptly was made without the organiser’s consent, and that there is no legal provision allowing a venue owner to suddenly switch off the sound system while a performance is ongoing.
“The Entertainment and Places of Entertainment Enactment (Selangor) stipulates that entertainment events held indoors are allowed to operate until 1 am.
“Switching off the sound system at midnight was baseless and contradicts the approved operating hours,” he said, adding that the disruption was also not due to any issue of the artistes failing to adhere to the schedule.
Earlier, the media reported that the RadjaWali concert had to be stopped exactly at midnight after the sound system was suddenly shut down, leading to heavy criticism on social media from dissatisfied fans, as Wali had not yet performed more than four of their hit songs.
