TEHRAN, April 4 (Bernama-dpa) -- A leading university in the Iranian capital Tehran was hit again in the latest air strikes carried out by the United States (US) and Israel on Friday, reported German Press Agency (dpa).
The medical research institute and the laboratory building at Beheshti University were almost completely destroyed in the attack earlier on Friday, Tasnim News Agency reported.
The student hall of residence on the university campus was also severely damaged.
Tasnim News Agency said no casualties had yet been reported.
This is the latest of attacks on universities in Tehran and other cities in recent weeks, according to Iranian reports.
The Technical University of Isfahan and the University of Science and Technology in Tehran were among the targets of Israeli-US attacks.
Together with Israel, the US attacked Iran on February 28. Since then, dozens of leading Iranian military and political figures have been killed, including former supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Iran responded with missile strikes on Israel and Arab states in the Gulf.
In the Strait of Hormuz, the Iranian military has brought shipping to a virtual standstill with attacks and threats, causing oil prices to skyrocket.
Attempts to negotiate a swift end to the conflict have not yet succeeded.
