IPOH, April 4 (Bernama) -- The second day of the Perak edition of the MADANI Rakyat Programme (PMR) 2026, held at Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah here, saw the Rahmah Sales booth emerge as one of the most visited attractions.

Despite the hot weather, visitors did not miss the opportunity to purchase essential items at lower prices, such as eggs, cooking oil, rice, and other goods at affordable rates.

As early as 9 am today, visitors had already filled every corner of the Perak PMR 2026 venue to access the services provided, participate in interactive activities at various government booths, and attend programmes at vraion sections including the main and mini stages.

Among the highlights were a pocket talk on urban gardening by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), a water-saving campaign by the National Water Services Commission (SPAN), as well as the introduction of MyDigital ID by the National Registration Department (NRD).

Issues of social security and sustainability were also highlighted through briefings by the Social Security Organisation (PERKESO) and an electronic waste (e-waste) management session by the Department of Environment (DOE).

Meanwhile, the Perak branch of the Malaysia Volunteer Corps Department (RELA) booth also drew attention by offering free haircuts to visitors of all ages, as part of RELA’s community outreach efforts to engage more closely with the public.

In addition, the booth also conducted registration for new RELA members, which can be done through the MyRELA system.

Perak PMR 2026, which began yesterday, runs from 9 am to 10 pm on Friday and Saturday, and until 6 pm on Sunday. It is the first location for the programme in 2026, organised in collaboration with the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit (PACU) of the Prime Minister’s Department as the main secretariat, and the KPKT as the lead ministry.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to officiate the event this afternoon.
