KUALA LUMPUR, May 15 (Bernama) -- Penang FC closed the 2025/2026 Super League campaign with a 2-1 victory over DPMM FC in the final league match at City Stadium, Penang today.

The home win ended the Black Panthers’ eight-match winless streak after last collecting three points when they beat Kuala Lumpur City FC in January.

In today's match, DPMM first opened the score through Jordan David Murray in the 41st minute from Ibrahim Sulley's pass to put the visitors ahead 1-0 in the first half.

Continuing in the second half, Penang came back to equalise via Dylan Wenzel-Halls' shot in the 58th minute before team captain Stefano Brundo emerged as the hero when he secured the home team's victory with a header in the 83rd minute.

The result saw Penang finish in eighth place with 25 points, while DPMM in 10th place after collecting 23 points.

At Likas Stadium, Kota Kinabalu, Terengganu FC defeated Sabah FC 1-0 thanks to a solitary goal by substitute Shervoni Mabatshoev in the 81st minute.

More than 3,000 spectators at the stadium then gave a standing ovation to goalkeeper Khairul Fahmi Che Mat after the match ended as a tribute to the legendary national goalkeeper who will be leaving Sabah after serving since 2022.

After 24 matches, Terengganu ended this season's challenge in fifth place with 36 points while Sabah were in ninth place with 23 points.
