KUALA LUMPUR, June 17 (Bernama) -- National bowler Sin Li Jane's bid to reclaim the US Women's Open title at Royal Pin Woodland in Indianapolis ended in disappointment on Tuesday after she finished runner-up in the prestigious tournament.
The 2024 champion delivered an impressive performance throughout the competition but fell short in the stepladder final, losing to home favourite Jillian Martin of the United States in a roll-off.
Earlier, both players were tied at 212-212 at the end of regulation play.
Li Jane posted scores of 10, 7, 10 and 9, while Jillian recorded 10, 7, 10 and 10 to clinch the title by a single pin.
Li Jane earned USD30,000 (approximately RM122,070) for her runner-up finish.
Jillian took home USD60,000 in addition to the green championship jacket and trophy.
