Wan Junaidi Extends Condolences To Nancy Over Husband's Death

KUCHING, June 18 (Bernama) -- The Yang Dipertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, has extended his condolences to Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri over the death of her husband, Datuk Kamil Misuari, today.

In a statement, Astana Sarawak said Wan Junaidi and his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, prayed that Allah SWT would shower blessings upon the soul of the late Kamil, accept his good deeds, and place him among the righteous.

“Tun and Toh Puan also prayed that Datuk Seri Nancy and her family would be granted strength, fortitude and patience as they endure this period of grief,” the statement said.

Earlier, the Office of the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development announced in a statement that Kamil died at a hospital in Kuala Lumpur this evening.

His remains will be flown to Kuching tomorrow and laid to rest at the Samariang Muslim Cemetery.

The late Kamil, 65, married Nancy in 1985, and they were blessed with three children.
