KUALA LUMPUR, June 22 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) squad has secured a place in the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games after advancing from the Southeast Asian qualification group stage.

In a statement today, MLBB developer Moonton said the achievement was the result of several impressive performances by the national team, including victories over Laos, Indonesia and Singapore, in the qualifiers last week.

The results enabled Malaysia to finish among the top five teams in the Southeast Asian qualifiers for the 2026 Asian Games MLBB competition, thereby earning a ticket to Asia's biggest multi-sport event.

The national squad comprises Muhammad Razif Sazali, Muhammad Nazhan Mohd Nor, Ammar Asyraf Abd Rahman, Ealtond Rayner, Muhammad Aqif Haiqal Azman and Mohammad Zul Hisham Mohd Noor.

Malaysia join the Philippines, Cambodia, Indonesia and Myanmar as the five representatives from Southeast Asia that have qualified for the main event.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Iran also qualified after advancing from the West Asia group stage, while Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will represent Central Asia.

In the South and East Asia zone, Mongolia, Hong Kong and China also secured their places after progressing through their respective qualification campaigns.
