POS MALAYSIA UNDERTAKES TASK OF DELIVERING NUR FARAH KARTINI'S BELONGINGS TO SARAWAK

IPOH, Aug 29 (Bernama) -- Pos Malaysia has undertaken the task of delivering the personal belongings of the late Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah, a former student of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), to her hometown in Sarawak.

Pos Malaysia Perak general manager, Noorzuriha Haron Noh Rashid, stated that the process of transporting Nur Farah Kartini's belongings was carried out today.

A brief ceremony was held this morning at the Chancellery Building, Sultan Abdul Jalil Shah Campus, UPSI in Tanjung Malim, where vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr. Md Amin Md Taff handed over the deceased’s belongings, including clothing, bags, books, and various personal items, to Pos Malaysia.

"Pos Malaysia is committed to delivering the late Nur Farah Kartini’s belongings today to Shah Alam, Selangor. The items are expected to arrive at the residence of her mother, Siti Salmah Abdullah, in Kampung Lereng Bukit, Miri, Sarawak by Tuesday morning.

"On behalf of Pos Malaysia, we express our deepest sympathy to the family of the late Nur Farah Kartini. This is our humanitarian contribution to them," she said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Md Amin expressed his deep appreciation for Pos Malaysia's thoughtful gesture, describing it as a blessing and a reflection of the compassion that unites Malaysians.

He extended his heartfelt gratitude to Pos Malaysia for initiating this humanitarian mission to return Nur Farah Kartini's personal belongings to her family.

Nur Farah Kartini, 25, was reported missing on July 10 after delivering a rental car to a customer. Her body was discovered in an oil palm plantation in Hulu Selangor around 6 pm on July 15.

Originally from Miri, Sarawak, Nur Farah Kartini was a former UPSI student who was working for a car rental company in Tanjung Malim.
