KOTA SAMARAHAN, Sept 5 (Bernama) -- Sarawakians can view a 3D presentation of the Raja Kita Exhibition in conjunction with the birthday celebration of the 17th King of Malaysia, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, from today until Sept 8.

Sarawak Minister of Utilities and Telecommunications Datuk Seri Julaihi Narawi said even though in the 3D concept, the exhibition is still rich in information and background about the King and Queen of Malaysia.

“I believe this digital exhibition is sufficient because we can scroll and browse through the screens,” he said at the Raja Kita Exhibition media conference today.

It also features infographics on biographies of Their Majesties, in addition to activities such as a quiz on Raja Kita dan Kenegaraan, a drum contest, and a nopeng (traditional dance) performance.

Julaihi previously said that the exhibition, co-hosted by the State Information Department, the Samarahan Division Resident Office, and the Department of Museums Malaysia, is expected to attract about 10,000 people.

Other events in conjunction with the celebration, which will be centred in the Samarahan Division, include an interfaith thanksgiving ceremony held today at Dewan Suarah Samarahan and a special Friday prayer sermon at mosques in the state tomorrow.

According to Julaihi, Yang Dipertua Negeri of Sarawak Tun Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and their wives will attend a thanksgiving ceremony at Masjid Al-Muttaqin in Kota Samarahan in the afternoon.

Wan Junaidi and his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, are also scheduled to attend a tea reception at DeTar Universiti Malaysia Sarawak this Saturday.
