KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 6 (Bernama) -- National men’s singles player Justin Hoh’s hopes for a spot in the semifinals at the 2024 Taiwan Open were dashed by host shuttler Chou Tien Chen today.
In the quarterfinals at Taipei Arena, the 20-year-old was defeated by the tournament's top seed in straight sets, 12-21 and 14-21, in a match that lasted 43 minutes.
This was Justin's first encounter with the World No. 9 player.
Tien Chen will now face his compatriot, Chi Yu Jen, in the semifinals tomorrow.
