NEW YORK, Oct 10 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The US dollar edged higher on Wednesday in late trading.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, gained 0.37 per cent to 102.926 at 3:00 pm (1900 GMT), reported Xinhua.
In late New York trading, the euro decreased to US$1.0937 from US$1.0972 in the previous session, and the British pound lost to 1.3065 dollars from 1.3092 dollars in the previous session.
The US dollar bought 149.36 Japanese yen, higher than 148.36 Japanese yen of the previous session.
The US dollar climbed to 0.8609 Swiss francs from 0.8579 Swiss francs, and it rose to 1.3710 Canadian dollars from 1.3656 Canadian dollars. The US dollar increased to 10.4004 Swedish Kronor from 10.3520 Swedish Kronor.
