THOUSANDS IN NORTHERN GAZA HAVE NO HUMANITARIAN, MEDICAL CARE - GAZA'S CIVIL DEFENCE

GAZA, Nov 2 (Bernama-QNA) -- Gazan Civil Defence’s spokesperson Mahmoud Basal warned that thousands of people are losing humanitarian and medical care in North Gaza, as work of rescue teams has been forcibly disrupted throughout this area due to the ongoing Israeli targeting and aggression for the tenth consecutive day.

In a remarks to Qatar news agency (QNA), Basal appealed to the international community and its humanitarian institutions, including the United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs, and the International Committee of the Red Cross to urgently intervene to enable the Civil Defense teams to perform their humanitarian duty.

He stressed the need to allow the remaining firefighting and rescue vehicles that are being held by the occupation army to resume their work, pointing out that the Israeli forces are holding the remaining firefighting vehicles and ambulances near the Beit Lahia cemetery in the northern Gaza Strip, and are firing from aircraft at anyone who tries to approach them.

For the 28th consecutive day, northern Gaza, and Jabalia and Beit Lahia camps in particular, are suffering under an Israeli siege and starvation, violent aerial and artillery bombardment, and complete isolation of the governorate, QNA reported.
