MAKKAH, Nov 12 (Bernama-SPA) -- The Muslim World League (MWL) welcomed the resolutions of the Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit held in Riyadh that brought together members of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the League of Arab States.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), MWL Secretary-General Sheikh Dr Mohammad Al-Issa expressed the league's strong support for the Palestinian people's right to freedom and an independent state with east Jerusalem as its capital.
He emphasised that the summit unequivocally condemned Israeli aggression and held it responsible for the failure of ceasefire efforts.
Dr Al-Issa also thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HRH the Crown Prince for hosting the summit, highlighting Saudi Arabia's continued efforts to support the Palestinian cause.
