SEREMBAN, Nov 24 (Bernama) -- Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) FC started off their Malaysia Cup campaign with a lucky 2-1 win over Negeri Sembilan FC in the first leg of their round of 16 match at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium tonight.
PDRM FC won in dramatic style, managing to deny the home team a win with two goals in injury time, the first a beautiful neat header by substitute Muhammad Hadi Fayyadh Abdul Razak and the second through import striker Ifedayo Olusugen’s blistering shot that beat Negeri Sembilan goalkeeper Tauffiq Ar Rasyid Johar.
Negeri Sembilan looked set to secure a nice win with A Selvan’s goal in the 68th minute but ended up tasting bitter defeat thanks to PDRM FC’s last minute heroics.
The first half saw Negeri Sembilan putting on a spirited performance, while PDRM FC also managing several attempts at goal, but efforts by both teams were to no avail.
Both teams will play the second leg of the match on Nov 29 at Selayang Municipal Council Stadium.
