KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 18 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA) remains committed to providing aid to the people of Palestine since 2021, with total contributions now surpassing RM5.42 million, according to its president Dr Mohd Daud Sulaiman.
He said MRA aimed to distribute an additional RM1.2 million in humanitarian aid to Palestine next year, raising the total contribution to RM6.7 million.
"The assistance provided includes food and non-food aid, medical aid, clean water aid, winter aid, educational aid, and other forms of support such as fuel for hospitals, the installation of solar panels at hospitals and the construction of temporary shelter tents for refugees," he said in a statement today.
Dr Mohd Daud said last month, MRA successfully delivered a 24-tonne container of flour worth RM80,000 through land route from a warehouse in Amman, Jordan to Northern Gaza, in collaboration with its network of local non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
Extending MRA's deepest gratitude to Malaysians for their support, he invited those wishing to contribute to the Palestine Emergency Relief Fund to contact the MRA headquarters at +603-91744672 or donate to Maybank account 564098208020 under the name Malaysian Relief Agency Berhad.
