KUANTAN, Dec 22 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah expressed his condolences to Pahang State Secretary, Datuk Seri Zulkifli Yaacob and his family on the passing of his father, Yaacob Abd Rashid, who died at 1.30 am today.
Also extending condolences was the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.
The Pahang Palace, in a post on its official Facebook page, informed that final rites for Allahyarham Yaacob was performed at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Mosque in Indera Mahkota here, before his body was buried at Kampung Tebal Muslim Cemetery in Temerloh after Zohor prayer.
“Both of us pray for the soul of Allahyarham Yaacob to be placed among the faithful and the righteous,” the post stated.
Meanwhile, Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail also expressed his condolences to Zulkifli over the loss of his father.
“I hope that Zulkifli and his family will be granted strength and patience in facing this trial,” he said in a Facebook post.
