KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 13 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian men’s and women’s bowling teams have both secured spots in the semi-finals of the 2025 World Cup in Kowloon, Hong Kong, following impressive performances today.
According to the official website, https://www.abf-online.org/results/2025, the women’s team delivered a stellar performance to defeat Sweden, winning three out of four matches with scores of 221-200, 187-142, 206-224, and 226-185 in the quarter-finals.
The women’s squad comprises Siti Safiyah Amirah Abdul Rahman, Natasha Roslan, Sin Li Jane, and Gillian Lim, and they are set to face Macau in the semi-finals tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the men’s team showcased their prowess by overcoming Germany in their quarter-final tie, also winning three out of four games with scores of 154-258, 234-199, 210-190 and 202-184.
The men’s team features Timmy Tan, Ahmad Muaz Mohd Fishol, Muhammad Rafiq Ismail, and Tun Hakim Tun Hasnul Azam, and they will go head-to-head with Kuwait in the semi-finals tomorrow.
